Loose? Are you uninformed or purposefully spreading disinformation?

Finally, the Committee's bipartisan Report shows that almost immediately following Election Day in 2016, the Trump transition responded to Russia's election interference not by supporting punitive action, but rather by holding a series of secretive meetings and communications with Russian representatives that served to undercut the outgoing administration's efforts to hold Russia accountable. The transition's openness to this private Russian outreach prior to taking office, so soon after Russia's interference on Trump's behalf, combined with Trump publicly questioning Russia's involvement, signaled that there was little intention by the incoming administration to punish Russia for the assistance it had just provided in its unprecedented attack on American democracy."

I have no idea if it tipped the scales either and I agree we'll never know. But it seems important to point out the fact that the Trump campaign consistently cooperated with a hostile foreign government. If you want to call that "pushing russiagate"... Sure? I guess?

They failed to learn there lesson in 2016 and now here we are.

You realize they won in 2020, right? So, did Dems learn a lesson which won them 2020 and then forget this time around? It kinda seems like you're just spewing nonsense.

  • Just before the election I was still coming across people absolutely incensed that Biden hadn't fixed the college loan issue yet.

The fact that it kept getting blocked by Trump judges was completely fucking lost on them. OK cool... Now he gets to appoint more. That should help /s

  • I have to say, the thought crossed my mind. But Dems could never pull it off.

I would hope that's because we won't stand for it. All I could think reading one of the previous threads on this letter was "these people are just as dumb as MAGAs but in the other direction".

  • I don’t really differentiate photos from other types of files.

I use restic to back up to Wasabi.

Edit: I'm actually considering changing this setup.

I'm thinking of using Wasabi as backend storage to hold my encrypted files using rclone compatible encryption. Use rclone on your desktop and then something like S3 Drive on mobile which can access rclone encrypted files.

S3 Drive has a nice photo auto-upload feature. I've only played with it on iOS which, as I understand it, is quite a bit less feature-full as compared to the Android version. Stuff like this might actually have me switching back to Android, TBH.

  • Hey I’ll likely be fine. Better off than the people you identified in your comment.

I’m a cis white male who makes ~$250k/yr.

The ones who sat at home are likely going to be much worse off.

At least it’s gonna be very hard to make the brain dead “both sides” argument over the next 4 years.
