  • I love how much hate this reply got. Yes, its over the top and unrealistic, but the point is that private cars are extremely convenient while public transportation isn't. Yes, private cars are very bad for the environment. So is pretty much all modern human industry.

Stop having kids, if you're so concerned about the environment. Your stupid butthole babies and their progeny will cause more environmental harm than any of your personal lifestyle choices.

  • I agree that personal muscle cars are a "go fuck yourself" to the climate, but look at that bus. It doesn't look fast because it has no reason to be aerodynamic. That thing is either stopped or going like 30 mph a majority of the time. If driving takes you 15 minutes but taking the bus takes you an hour, those with enough money will trade it to get that time back.

  • I agree with what you said, but why would the US have fewer available qualified individuals than Taiwan? We have a large population and an effective university system. I think its likely that the talent is available, but expensive.

  • My interpretation: The father is possibly misremembering how quickly he achieved milestones in his early adulthood and he now has unrealistic expectations for his son.

Or the father is just giving his son shit.

  • Their justification for eating highly processed food and drinking artificial sweetener solution is that it's the only way they can control their calorie intake. Call me rude if you want, but it's ridiculous.

You don't have to eat organic vegan everything to be healthy but a McDonalds centric diet isn't the way to go.

  • I understand that food is delicious and it is enjoyable to eat but have you considered that the combination of being either poor or cheap, while also being lazy can make you skinny?

I seriously don't even want to go to the grocery store, pay for all these groceries, unload all that shit from my car, prepare a meal, eat it (the only nice part), do the dishes, put the dishes away, take out the trash, clean the kitchen.

Eating less food less often is way easier than doing all that stuff, and its way cheaper. Fast food isn't even inexpensive nowadays and its so bad for you.

Don't be fat, be cheap and lazy.
