• Brendan Eich's anti-LGBTQ+ political involvement
• • Brendan Eich donated to anti-LGBT political organizations, politicians, and initiatives such as CA Prop 8 which banned same-sex marriages.
• 2016 — Brave Browser promises to replace webpage ads
• • Brave promised to replace ads with privacy friendly ads that would actually pay publishers and even users with a volatile cryptocurrency while keeping a cut for themselves. This never actually came to life and was criticized as "blatantly illegal".
• 2018 — Brave runs a questionable donation campaign
• • Brave collected donations for popular content creators without actually involving or seeking consent from said creators. In short they accepted donations in crypto for creators, but would only pay out if it reached a minimum value of $100. When called out, Brave said refunds were impossible.
• 2020 — Brave injects referral links when visiting crypto wallets
• • Brave injected their own referral links for services such as Binance without informing users or asking permission.

Yeah dude, it’s rough having a kid young. Shits stressful, less support when your younger. None of your friends are having kids at that age so it’s tough making friends with people way older than you just so your kid has people to play with.

TBH I’d forgotten this game existed till it was brought up in another thread a long while back. I probably only played like an hour of it out of curiosity, but yeah Space Cadet was my jam. This YouTuber has a pretty interesting vid on the game Purble Place.

I think you’d make a perfect subject for a study on the effects of microplastics on a persons ability to reason. Your dismissive and empty arguments in this thread would give ample evidence to support that a preference for drinking from plastic straws may in fact be harmful to a persons brain over prolonged exposure.

Don’t have any scientific reason other than concern over all of the micro plastics that are now in literally everything living, or the impact production of plastics has on the environment, or the fact that they aren’t biodegradable and just sit somewhere for ages.

Simply providing context since you seem to be confused as to why you can’t find a home based on your replies in this thread.

Please understand that “freedom of speech” does not mean that your speech is more important than the next persons. If you decide to start spewing hateful, racist, bigoted shit, the next person has the right to tell you to fuck off and block you, or ban you if it’s their instance. This isn’t treading on your freedom of expression or suppressing your speech, this is simply the other person exercising their right to not have to hear your shit and choosing instead to show you the door.

For example, if you invite someone into your home and they start spouting shit, you have the right to show them the door as you don’t have to listen to them go off in your home and around your guests. Similarly if you’re banned for not following the rules of an instance you’re not “being suppressed” you’re just a cunt.

Want to talk shit from a realm of safety without being called out? Do it from your own home where people don’t have to be around you. Make your own instance, or find a like-minded cesspool willing to put up with you.

Downside is Catan is fucking boring. It’s one of those games where most of the time you’re stuck waiting for your next turn. 5-6 player add on just makes the game infinitely worse. Out of the expansions, Seafarers is nice since it gives you more to do, tho the standalone Starfarers is my go to pick if I gotta play Catan since it sorta has the best parts of all expansions plus random encounters and a more even start. I also like that in the 5-6 player mode 2 players take their turns simultaneously. Tho Catan still isn’t my go-to of board games.
