Yeah, when I went to school I heard rumors that up to a third of the incoming visas were questionable at best, but they took them anyways because 30k a semester is easy funding.
Ada does whatever. They clearly want a walled garden. Let them have it. Who cares, really?
I'm all for supporting trans issues and all but like bro can I not be criticized for enjoying a game from a beloved childhood franchise? You know how many artists are garbage people? It's just gotten easier to know who sucks because they all get big heads and go on twitter.
Nah it'll just kill Blahaj. Trigger happy instances cause people to leave and join more permissive places, because let's be real, a user should curate their affiliations and connections, not an admin on their behalf.
I am happy on .ca because I have the freedom to interact with essentially everyone worth interacting with. If it was not the case I may have gone over to .world or any of the other billion awesome instances we have. I could even run my own, if it came down to it.
I am glad to see that the outcome is higher engagement vis a vis comments; I would also acknowledge generally how high level and quality the discussions are on the federation overall.
I kind of hope there are manageable streams of users coming in, because I really like it here in its current iteration. I don't really worry about new content so much as cool people to talk to, and honestly most of the people here are worth engaging with.
I just watch the third season and pretend all of the random references to the early seasons happened in a more logical way.
I knew somebody who was running a "what could have been" Star Trek TTRPG campaign based around episodes of Voyager that could have been executed better, I think I would love to run a campaign that had plot elements from Picard's first two seasons as a personal headcanon.
When the first Witcher came out, Yahtzee's review was spot on. It's a good game, it's got a lot of depth, but a lot of the mechanics are arcane and just not fun.
Witcher 2 made big strides in this department, finally culminating in Witcher 3 - I am in a similar boat in terms of having serious issues trying to play the first two Witcher games.
KOTOR is jank, but I would say it's entirely due to the controls. It acts like point-and-click even on controllers, where you have to use the D-pad to select the element and interact with it using the face buttons.
Also, the semi-pseudo-turn-based combat system doesn't really totally hold up, I wish there was a way of smoothing it out.
There are higher resolution texture projects for both KOTOR 1 and 2, I think KOTOR 2 has it available natively with the Steam Workshop.
Nyaaaaaaaaaaa~(.si)
