Yeah but it's Paradox as the publisher who is the one setting the parameters of them having to build a game that is designed to support 10 years of DLC like all of their other products because that's their monetization strategy.
Newer GPUs are fine in Wayland. I have a 3090 and Wayland is the only way I can get full refresh rates on all my monitors because X locks you to the lowest value. Only thing is that the translucency on themes doesn't render super well and sometimes the system clock and taskbars will freeze up. That aside, it's been a good gaming experience overall.
Sure, we can argue the semantics of it being the wrong word, but I would argue that a car can be an investment. A necessary way to get to and from work. Even if it's ultimately a money pit that devalues the second you drive it off the lot, it's a required part of living in a lot of North America. Don't blame me for 100 years of suburban sprawl and steady dismantling of any decent mass transit.
So no, it's not that I don't know what the word means, it's maybe that we have a different understanding of the value of a car as an integral part of mobility based on our different geographies. If I want to do anything, I have to get on the highway. I'm sure if you want to do something you can walk down a few blocks to the high street.
Nichelle was the reason she was so into Star Trek. She was her idol more or less. It was really empowering to Whoopi to see a black woman on the bridge and it gave her tons of hope for the future.
Something similar happened to Whoopi Goldberg when she was hired for Star Trek Generations. They said she would be actively working with Nichelle Nichols, who ultimately had nothing to do with the project. In the opening scene when she is rescued from The Nexus by Chekov her reaction of shock is genuine because she was told up until that point that it would be Nichelle who was starring in that scene and was genuinely surprised to be across from Walter Koening instead.
I do not want a Section 31 show using any kind of concepts they developed in Discovery.
S31 is supposed to be a secret clandestine organization, not some fucking advanced bullshit literal massive fleet with TNG tech in the TOS era.
I have zero hope for this one. Section 31 was cool because they were so secretive and had their fingers in so many pies. Giving them a literal fleet is the antithesis of how S31 should work which is: privately, secretly and across the entirety of Starfleet.
Hyundais and Kias literally have the defect of exploding into fire. The manufacturers say not to park indoors. That's a great reason not to invest in one of their machines.
I'll take a broken third party integration any day over an unsafe car.
There are worse reasons to not buy an automobile, but lack of app integration is probably the silliest reason I've seen so far.
Privacy issues, subscriptions for basic features, removal of physical buttons in favor of janky touch screens...the list is endless and you guys settled on the app not working on a 3rd party system as the straw that breaks the camel's back.
The Mazda app allowed you to track the location of the automobile, turn it on and off remotely, activate hazard lights, and lock/unlock from the HA integration.
Most of what I used it for was to see where my dad had taken my car with the GPS tracker. Sometimes I would fuck with him and turn on the hazards.
You can get the nvidia driver packages from the built-in repo.
pacman -S nvidia-dkms
should solve most of your problems
A lot of this stuff is already covered in the arch wiki, specifically challenging things like drivers. You should look into the documentation prior to asking.
I like how you're downvoting the people who are trying to help. I know I basically said RTFM in a nice way but that's the reality of the situation when you are working with Linux. You need to understand how to get this information from the documentation on your own rather than being reliant on other people to fill in the gaps.
The db0 guys are great. Just be prepared to listen to a lot of Linux evangelism. If I had to pick an instance to join outside of .ca it would either be db0 or startrek.website.
