  • Mullenweg just took over AFC so that everyone who installed the non-pro version will now have his version instead. It's part of this whole crazy drama in the WordPress ecosystem right now. It's just funny to see anyone saying anything else about Mullenweg/ WordPress at the moment.

  • You are morally responsible in some degree for 20 people dying rather than 10. Though, in that example, I seriously doubt that most people would think the moral choice is to shoot the 10 people. Probably because we instinctually know that wouldn't be the end of it or none of the deaths seem inevitable.

  • So not voting for your guy (candidate A) lead to the other guy (candidate B) winning. Seems like you agree with the premise that in our 2 party system, not voting for the candidate you want directly helps the candidate you don't want.

  • I would like some houses without people. Having a little surplus is usually a good thing. So like if some houses become unlivable, we have houses for the suddenly unhoused people.

  • It's crazy how different people are. The idea of sitting through a video to do something like this is so painful to me. Like I find it useful for physical things where seeing the motion can be helpful, but I still generally find doing things that way awful. Please, please, please just give me written instructions for things. Especially if I'm going to need to refer back to it a few times (e.g. there are multiple steps that take a bit of time).

  • Yes, I have.

Have you tried it? Find a mirror big enough to show your whole body and press your face right up to it. Do you see your whole body? Now take a step back, do you see your whole body at the same time without having to look and up and down? Now walk several steps back and notice how much more you can see without moving your eyes.

We're talking about 2 separate concepts is the problem.

  • Ok, I can see the point, but it's not usually what people mean when they can see their whole body. In that example, you're looking down or looking up. You never see your whole body at the same time. For your whole body to be entirely in your field of view, it absolutely does matter how close or far you are from the mirror. You can test it by going closer and further to any mirror.

  • The reflection being further is the point? The further away something is, the smaller it looks, so the less of your field of view it takes up, the more you can see of it.

If I put my hand on my eye, I can't see much of it. If I pull my hand back, I can see more of it. If I put a mirror on my eye, I can only see my eye. If I put it back, I can see my face because the reflection of my face is further (i.e. smaller).

I'm very confused what you're trying to say.

  • No. She has the Florida case about him retaining classified documents.

This is the federal case about him trying to overturn the election.

There's also the Georgia case about his conspiracy to overturn Georgia's election results.
