Is the vaccine for this available to most people?

I'm not familiar with mpox and I just finished the gauntlet of vaccines that is a kid's first year and a half of life.

The aid is definitely for the audience. Otherwise, the presenter would just have some notes.

The slides don't need to be a book. But I struggle to think of a technical topic that doesn't have some visuals that would make talking about it easier to follow.

Edit: and I think it's presenters thinking the aid is for them that leads to such awful slides.

Ok then switch to streaming. My point was just that just because you have a VHS collection doesn't mean you can't get media in another way and still use your VHS collection. And most people would use both while they transitioned. Throwing out all your VHSs for the hot new thing isn't something a lot of people did. Or throwing out all your DVDs because streaming is a thing. People aren't restricted to one thing.

Maybe for something non-technical that would be reasonable. But if you're talking to a single slide for ~30 minutes, it's unlikely to be an adequate aid for most people. Either the content is really complex and would benefit from additional slides that focus on each relevant part. Or a lot of what you're talking about isn't really represented, and people are likely to get lost without something to show what it is you're describing.

Oh yeah. A PhD means you hyperspecialized for years. You get one by being the expert and advancing your field in, usually, one tiny tiny area. For anything that isn't that tiny area? Likely to be a stupid as anyone.

Right-wing media often have weird takes about, well, everything. If there's something negative going on in the economy, they'll definitely blame democrats even if it makes no sense. And their solutions are just bizarre. Like they boycott products by buying them and then destroying them.

So, I think the question is is there actually evidence people are selling right now because they were told to?

My point is people still used that VHSs. They just also bought DVDs. For most people, you didn't only use one. I think most people went through a period where they used both.

They may have met Pakistani people but aren't going to pay enough attention to know that. They'll just go with some generic Muslim slur (it does not matter if they aren't Muslim).

Because they're engaging in harmful behaviors and need to be broken up and regulated.

I'm not talking about replacing your VHS collection but buying DVDs in addition. You would still watch both. Maybe buying a DVD player was a barrier. But it wasn't that you owned VHS.

You don't pre-emptively punish people not causing harm. That's a bad way to go.

You don't need to bring your library. Having your library split between multiple platforms isn't a big deal and most people do it. You just don't give them any more money.

People didn't not buy DVDs because they had a library of VHSs.

I think "Are you from around here?" has a totally different vibe. It presupposes they might be and that you'll take that as an answer rather than going "no, but where are you really from?"

If they hiked prices above what other stores offered, consumers would leave. If they lowered prices to be untenable for developers, developers would leave, and consumers would follow (they'd probably grumble, but they'd go where the games are). There isn't a lock in for future sales on either side. So do you think they can do whatever they want with prices with no consequences?

Yup. 70% Clinton, 30% Trump. With points where it was about 50-50. They even had a 1 in 10 shot of Clinton winning the popular vote and Trump winning the election, which was higher than their chances of a Clinton blowout (6%).

I looked it up. macOS is still unix certified.

BSD is usually not unix certified, so has to refer to itself as unix like.

What is and isn't unix is kind of up to what definition you're working with (pedigree, legally, practically).
