  • Absolutely. With all forms of art, I feel this is an extension of the Death of the Author concept, in that you separate the art from the artist, and it has less to do with what the artist intended and more to do with your take and interpretation of something, good or bad, and it's effect and meaning for you.

For example, due to my childhood and lots of past trauma, I harbor some deeply resentful and hateful feelings toward Christians and Christianity in general. However, there are some Christian rock and metal bands I have always loved, and a lot of their music doesn't always scream religion at me. I appreciate and enjoy some of these still today, despite the fact they ultimately are representing something I detest. The way I enjoy it and what it means to me is different from what they intended.

  • But getting more sex coverage on news media is good, I like that.

"... and she added that it was pretty good, but she wishes he'd have spent a bit more time warming her up first. Back to the studio."

"Wow. Excellent report, Kelly. Fascinating sex life Jill and Bob have. More at 11."

  • Yep. It became clear to me through difficult times and turmoil that my parents switch to Christianity during my childhood was their way to find excuses to never have to change or answer to others.

It's a convenient way to remain narcissist and pretend you're improving as a person.

My dad made it very clear he only needs to answer to "god" and nobody else.

    Cool. Drop dead, dad.

  • Yup. My Steam Link was a semi-cheap purchase when they were on sale, and over time their continued support of it only pushed me to use Steam more and more. I still use it today, and it was a big part of why I adopted the Deck right away.

  • Any of them with a completely unnecessary boot up noise. Especially when you forget download you left things, it can scare the crap out of people. And no options to disable it. Fuck these companies.

I think Diseny is the only major one that doesn't do that shit.

  • Pro tip, if your sentence ever begins with "am I the only one..." then just stop and completely reconsider how you want to present the point you want to make. Just make the point. Lose the fluff.

You aren't the only one. Nobody is ever the only one.
