  • But I don't see how you can argue yourself out of the situation. Even if you find the magical words you can say to police officers to leave you alone, you will still have to say these words to them in every town. At this point just showing your ID seems like less effort.

    I was being profiled and targeted because of the vehicle I was driving.

    Not arguing that. But I also don't see how you can change anything about that without changing the actual vehicle. There is a reason my drug delivery guys only drive B.M.W. and Mercedes.

  • There is really no point in changing a video from mp4 to mkv oder webm. It's just the container. If the video doesn't play on some devides its because of the codec. If you want it to play on as many devices as possible, You want your videos h264 encoded. For more modern devices you can use HEVC/h265 and safe some space on file size.

  • I just recently upgraded from my 2 bay NAS, simply because I ran out of storage and attaching more drives via USB just seemed silly at this point (I was already at 5).

    I now have a DS2422+ 12 bay with 6x 20TB plates. And I very much expect the NAS to last past 10 years. HDDs can be added and replaced if you have raid setup. Not very feasible in 2 bay NAS.

    • The frequency and duration of ad breaks is beginning to make me feel like I’m in that black mirror episode where they had to pay to stop ads from constantly playing.
