  • I'm not sure about your definition of AR, but if the camera is showing the real world plus digital content then it's augmented reality.

    Here is some definition:

In virtual reality (VR), the users' perception of reality is completely based on virtual information. In augmented reality (AR) the user is provided with additional computer- generated information within the data collected from real life that enhances their perception of reality.

  • Wow, that's a really hard work. Hope they manage to work things out

  • Hi again,

1 - Now that there are multiple apps for lemmy, wouldn't be better to handover jerboa to someone else and focus more on core lemmy?

2 - How was the inception moment for lemmy? When and how did you decided to leave reddit and create something new and how was the first couple months?

Thanks and come to Brazil ;)

  • Not that I'm suggesting it, but they could hardcode the defederation of those instances on the code and most admins wouldn't bother to fork lemmy to remove it. Like in the past they had a hardcoded slur filter, but I think they disabled it because many slurs in English were regular words in other languages

  • Were you ever approached by any kind of organization making some weird proposal regarding lemmy?

  • If this affects the functioning of society of course it's government concern

  • Electricity storage through batteries is not cheap though

  • Great game, remember going to my friend's house to play on his pc, but I think I've never been able to beat it

  • It's really nice to see that lemm.ee is financially stable, congrats sunaurus :)

  • Did you really just have an "I choose what people can or cannot be frustrated with, because I'm a super condescending person" take?

I would make a proper reply, but people who cannot get into conversation without any passive aggressive comment should not make other loose their time

  • I think this instance is dead, the last communication to most other instances happened on 22/12 so almost ten days ago and no message from any admin.

Unfortunately I think it's time to jump to another instance

  • You are correct, our posts are not being federated for some reason(a bug). Which means you are posting on the local copy of the post, but it's not being replicated on the other instances.

This is a shame because there is no reason to reply if other users are not going to see our posts

  • Me too, now I can see only a ton of Arab posts with no comments.

PS: also verified that my posts were not federated outside this instance, they show me to me, but not on a foreign instance

  • Probably because not that many devs have being making good, polished games since the 80s

  • If you think Disney is powerful now, imagine what Disney would be like if no other creators had any legal protection at all.

You say Disney would be better without copyright at the same time we see Disney spending billions on lobby to make copyright almost eternal.

  • You say Disney would be better without copyright at the same time we see Disney spending billions on lobby to make copyright almost eternal.

To think that Disney would be happy if every artist could create, enhance and improve a Marvel version for themselves

  • Who would make the stuff that you buy and consume?

  • Look at Linux and open source projects as a whole, like Lemmy, or how 3D printer community flourished after some 80s patents lost their validity and so on...

    Disney can just copy it

They are the ones who most profit from this CR and patent scheme, if they would profit from open projects they would lobby in that direction not the other way around
