Just by way of an update, someone recently recommended Thunder as a Lemmy client on android and this let's you do it, you can switch to an anonymous user to browse an entire instance so that's a great feature that Jerboa and Sync lack
Prompted me to give Jerboa a go after some time. I think it's useable enough now to switch over and stick with.
It's still massively behind sync in several areas obviously but it has most everything. Be good to have more UI options and a few other conveniences but the big stuff is there.
I did hedge on sync, just ad blocking the free version as the pro prices seemed a bit gouge-y but bear in mind the guy had his whole side hustle swiped away from him in a gross and upsetting manner!
Yeah but how much impact can he have on this year's car? I think he's mainly there for 2026. Idk. Hulkenberg plus Bortoleto v Alonso plus nobody... I'd bet Sauber unless the car is completely garbage
Sidestepping the non news of this article... It could happen, they had real pace from somewhere towards the end of last season. I don't think Ocon leaving will matter much, regardless of whether Doohan stays.
But yeah it wouldn't surprise me if even the battle for third or fourth is hotly contested this year. It only really takes one crazy stroke of luck like Brazil last year...
There are lots of decent actual plays on YouTube that can give you a very solid idea of how it actually works in practice. My personal favourite style is the glass cannon network as they tend to lean towards how your home game might be (ie it's not all serious and there's goofing off during the game) but I'm sure people have specific recommendations for cyberpunk and dungeons and dragons
The cameos from Ollie Bearman, Franco Colapinto and Liam Lawson were an undeniable highlight of the Formula 1 season. They also were a timely reminder that, after a winter of no driver changes for 2024, there is plenty of young talent waiting in the wings.
Arguably the most impressive, despite being limited to just three races, were the performances of Bearman. Just four years ago, he was racing karts and it has been an astronomical rise up the motorsport ladder, leading to his sensational debut in Jeddah for Ferrari.
This is a fair point! I do think Piastri has an extremely level head considering his experience. I thought he'd give Norris a harder run this year but next year we shall see.
I think next year there will be some fairly major driver shakeups ahead of 2026
