I don't live there anymore, but I was pretty pissed when they circumvented what we voted for. (It would have added a ton of dem votes, and probably pushed it to a solid blue state, which is why I guess they needed to do anything to stop it)
Or like when Floridans voted to allow anyone who finished their prison sentence to be allowed to vote again, and FL gov said "how about we implement a poll tax instead?"
You did something due to peer pressure at an age when kids are obsessed with fitting in. In the course of doing so, you realized it was wrong and you stopped. Even now, presumably years later, you still feel bad about it. I'd say you're good, every single one of us has done things (often involving inappropriate actions) we look back on and regret. You're fine.
My problem with that story is that's the one time Jesus chose violence, vs the bajillion times he said to love your neighbor and turn the other cheek. But I've seen tons of posts by right wingers like "we should kill people we disagree with! Jesus was all about violence, did you hear about the time with the whip!?!?" using it as justification for their hate and totally ignoring all of Jesus's messages.
The bill says the use of force is "justifiable" if a defendant believes that criminal trespass, robbery, or "unlawful camping" is occurring on their property.
Great, so not only does it let them shoot homeless people, it lets them do it even if they "believe" it's happening. So you can just shoot someone on your property for no reason at all, and say "well, I though they were performing a robbery".
The prices for coke and pepsi products has gone up an absurd amount the last few years. Unless they drop back down a bit in price (unlikely) I'm sticking to my sodastream for all my home carbonation needs.
I'm a Silent Stubber, when I hurt myself I just automatically pause in place and hold my breath for a second until the worst is past. I wonder what makes people react differently to a legit stub. (I didn't grow up in any kind of traumatic situation where I had to be quiet or anything. I was a pretty loud kid, and am still a loud adult.) 🤷♂️
Time to find out if someone else has access, and can make a copy and send it to you, and then you can play dumb about where/how you got your copy.
