  • For me it's a case of "I'll believe it when I see it." Not ragging on Biden, I believe he's earnest in his desire to do something about student loan debt, but it's all the road blocks that are put in his way. A lot of people don't want student loan debt relief for whatever reason.

  • As an American living abroad I can honestly say I don't miss being required to drive everywhere. Haven't owned a car in six years and there's like 2 times a year I need a car so I just rent one. Way cheaper that way.

  • Yes, I can. Even if they're banned, they can easily get it. Buying that data isn't exactly an insurmountable amount of money for a state actor. A couple tens of millions? Piece of cake. And also, they're doing the same stuff everyone else is doing. So if we ban tiktoc guess we gotta ban Facebook, Twitter, etc... to keep the CCP's hands off the data. And your point about TOS is a good one. Technically they're not stealing it, hence the quotations. So yes, a ban is pointless. Especially if the argument is data security.
