That's just not true, you'd have to completely rebuild your entire production facilities which would cost more in the long run than taking say... Boston Dynamics Atlas and hooking it up to an LLM trained on a specific task set.
Newer facilities could be built for the future where humans aren't involved at all, but in the interim making robots that move and manipulate objects like we do is still the better solution.
Depends on the job tbh, most robots would be better as tank treaded or quadrupeds, but to truly take over manual labor jobs they will have to have a functioning bipedal robot for at least a handful of use cases.
Sir, this is Lemmy. People treat the applications and hardware you use with ethical alignment and switching to FOSS literally has approval on the level of religious conversion.
It's no wonder people around here care so much about random people's opinions, the place practically filters for it.
Most people put sugar on grapefruit but I always put salt on it growing up because of the same chemistry. You don't really need to sweeten the fruit, you just need to halt the bitterness a tad bit and the flavor really opens up.
That was just the assets he purchased, but yeah even if we are being generous in terms of salary how did someone put together a better game with like 1% of the time and resources?
Not to mention it has the best ad and tracker blocking I've seen without extensions, I've never used UBO or anything and still have zero issues on YouTube with ads or performance problems.
Yeah yeah I know, it's still based on chromium, but until Firefox gets a suitable alternative to tab stacking and the side bar (ive already tried all of the solutions people claim is good enough or "the same" and find them all lacking) ill stick with V.
Depends, modern electronic triggers and airburst munitions can yield smaller nuclear detonations without the fallout of traditional "slap two chunks of uranium together" style nukes.
Not sure exactly how much room a tactical nuclear device would need but it's possible to do it without taking out the entire place, yes.
Your expectations of people understanding falconry in general and the gear that falconers use is far higher than I'd give the average person credit for tbh.
Exactly, they give it to you new and after a year of regular wear they take the deposit because how dare it have wear from pressing the talk button and being hit by the sun 24/7.
“Easy, chief,” I said. “Any rate the market offers is, by definition, fair.”
I love how backwards this is but parroted unironically by the Lib right. Whatever the market accepts, not offers, is the fair market value. That misunderstanding is where this "no one wants to work (for my pitiful salary) anymore" comes from.
It doesn't matter, even a fully actualized public owned economy still requires that it estimate and compare production and capital increase so it knows 1. How much to alot for each citizen in the daily/weekly/monthly UBI, and 2. How to compare its production capacity and volume of capital to other countries who may or may not also be collectivist.
Both of these needs require the exact understanding of production increase so that it can accurately estimate the capital (capital in this sense being the amount of wealth set aside specifically for the increase in production capacity/efficiency) that allows the economy to grow. Thus they can take that information and increase the amount of dollars available to the country or it's citizens for use or trade with other nations.
Nah, the word problems suck because they're intended to teach you how to convert word problems into math problems. They did absolutely nothing to show how math is used in real world scenarios.
Lol exactly
