Check out the site dark pattern games, it shows a list of games and their "dark" side like money and time wasters. They also show the "healthy" side of mobile gaming as well
I'm not sure how its showing for you, but the link you posted is already the thumbnail for everyone else. Also, for someone whose complaint is the UI, you sure made it seem like you thought Lemmy was a sewer, not someplace with a bad ui.
If billionaires are literally dropping by the week, I think billionaires would actually be forced to do something about it, i.e. not be billionaires anymore or face the mystery "Billionaire Heart Attack" that's been spreading.
This is basically it. It costs money to hang out with people IRL, everytime, all because of cars. We are all spread out so far now, except in a handful of places. Even without factoring in cars, the amount of activities that people can do for free or cheap is dwindled to basically nothing. This is simplistic, but the reality is no one can really afford real friends anymore.
The parts where its clear they were forced to make the video game movie or someone else would is great. The rest is... not good imo. Neo uses the force push every 30 seconds and solves all of his problems.
I'd say around the beginning of the 1900s is when we truly lost the plot. While we, the workers, were given a few breadcrumbs over the years to appease us, the Owner class was strip mining the wealth at every level imaginable, there's a reason people like Rockefeller and Carnegie were richer than heaven at this time in history.
I think we truly are "alien" souls, being brought into this world for the first time. I can empathize with the people who allow themselves to be wrapped up in our modern society but I always wonder, when will we realize that our way of life is absolutely miserable and we need to change our society ASAP if we want to survive through the next 50-100 years.
Honest question, what does MacOS do better than Linux? The only benefit Mac has, IMO, is their ecosystem, and if you don't use Facetime or iMessage I see no reason to stay on MacOS vs installing something like Linux Mint. My case is a little different, since my Macbook Pro keyboard no longer works UNLESS I am on Linux, but I still much prefer Linux to MacOS in almost every way.
