ActivityPub is how federation is accomplished. You cannot "work around" how the system is fundamentally designed. ActivityPub might get E2E encryption on DMs at some point but the rest is simply not possible if you want to be able to interact with the rest of the Fediverse.
I've been wondering what people who are peaceful protesting think they are accomplishing. The ruling class obviously is trying to fuck you over, while you are asking nicely for these sociopaths to care for your problems. They have demonstrated they care little for you. Not your opinion, you as a person. They want you to shut up and work for them or die.
Piefed also doesn't really fit his description. He wants something more akin to Signal, since that was designed around E2E encryption. Anything that uses ActivityPub is never gonna be able to fit into his idea for security, since it was designed to do the exact opposite and distribute content to basically anyone who asks for it.
Your existence is made infinitely more complex by capitalism. We could just as easily be like our ancestors living off the land and enjoying a slow and quiet life but instead we are forced to do menial labor for menial wages to live mediocre lives ruled by technology and plastic junk that is poisoning our planet. We live on a dying ship that is being dismantled by the people at the head of our society, who also happen to be the richest. Hmm wonder if capitalism has anything to do with that??

They failed the multiverse so hard they gave it up after 4 movies lol. My point was that if you have characters you care about, then killing and bringing them back is a horrible way to go. You lose all attachment to Gamora since its not her. The reason you care about Miles dad is cause you care about Miles and his story, but if they "killed" Miles at the end of 2 just to bring him back at the beginning of #3 then we'd all be like WTF.

"Comic accurate" bro I just want good writing, don't care where the fuck it came from. My favorite parts of the MCU are the least like the comics anyway. Like I know Captain America is the falcon in some comic iterations but I still hate that they did that for the MCU. Should've been Bucky!! Sometimes comics should stay comics and movies should stay movies, especially when the comics and movies have very different context.
Like maybe it makes sense to kill Wanda and bring her back in the comics, but if you do that to the movie version people will stop caring when character deaths happen because we can just bring em back and pretend it never happened. This is also why the multiverse didn't work very well for them, because with infinite realities you can do anything with basically no consequences. This doesn't make for a very exciting movie, cause none of it really affects anything anymore.
They are ostensibly a one party state, not a dictatorship. While Xi is the paramount leader, he claims he isn't a dictator and I definitely believe him. Also it seems like he doesn't have absolute control, but what do I know.
