  • I think you brought up a good point in that Microsoft conditions people to expect a certain behavior from their PC. Some of that is ease of use at there expense of privacy, forced unavoidable updates, and individual software solutions that handles their respective updates.

  • I bounce around a lot, mainly between Qtile and Awesome WM because I like how it handles multiple monitors. You should check it out, there's loads of premade configs on GitHub.

  • So are they going to make the software smaller? What about iOS? Physically how does 8GB = 16GB? Can't wait to see Photoshop open a RAW and run out of memory. I will say the M2 CPU was pretty slick and if I got one cheap I'd throw Linux on there.

  • I've rented a few new cars and I'm just really not a fan of the all lack of physical buttons and controls. The smart settings like lane control, smart cruise control, the engine turning off when stopped, and notifying me with an alert when I've driven to many hours are extremely annoying.

  • Man I love my pixel 5 because of the form factor. It's like the perfect size. I switched to the pixel 6 and went back to the 5 because it's just so comfortable in my hand and pocket. There's no way I would ever switch to Apple because I like to customize everything and I don't want to be tied to Apple's ecosystem. It feels to restrictive. I have lineage os on my 5 and I used Cyanogen on many prior phones. It gets the job done but lately I've been eyeing the pixel 8 and graphine os. I don't like the larger size and the candy bar cameras but I want a newer cpu/gpu more ram etc.
