I worked at Pizza Hut in the 90s, and waitresses were usually making $200+ in tips for a 6 hour shift. This was in a state where they were paid full minimum wage of $4.95.

I delivered pizzas and made $5.50 plus an average of $30 in tips for a 6 hour shift.

My wife has the Samsung Flip 4, and it's pretty nice. The screen comes with a screen protector on it, and you have to replace it occasionally, because it will start to delaminate around the crease.

For my wife it was a way to have a phone that fit in a small purse without any issues. It works well in that scenario.

I don't know how well it would hold up to significant dust and debris.

I did something similar for a programming competition once because I couldn't remember the c64 basic function to return string length.

Once I got home I rewrote it properly because it bugged me so badly. LEN(string variable) was the command. Stupid!

The original picture was almost certainly a ceramic glaze decal that would be very hard to get to line up perfectly.

Even with slip cast porcelain, where the actual ceramic piece isn't going to vary that significantly from casting to casting, it still would take some expertise to apply it without a very visible seam.
