  • I would argue that what this article is advocating for isn't a definitive end to advertisement per se. Truthfully that would be impossible.

What we truly need are iron clad privacy laws that impose unbreakable regulations with destructive fines when violated by companies and organizations.

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again. These so-called liberals are great on unions until they have to deal with one in good faith. Then all of a sudden it's shocked Pikachu "Why are you not capitulating to us?" attitude from them. We saw it in Biden when he had to deal with the rail workers. They got shafted so unbelievably hard by the deal he "worked out" with them it's not even funny. They think just because they pay us lip service they can get whatever they want out of a union.

  • Keep telling yourself that. It's not like you're dealing with a greedy corporation that has spent the last several years wiping out every alternative platform for playing their older games so that you have no other way to play their titles that they keep jacking the price up on simply because they can.

  • It also forces farmers to sell more of their products here in the U.S., to bring grocery prices way down. We’ve already seen this with eggs.

The absolutely stupid thing about this particular statement is that egg imports had risen to meet demand which was forcing egg prices back down. The tariffs are going to completely reverse that.

  • All we need now is a massive man made natural disaster to strike to make it another great depression. Luckily there isn't any terrible climate related issue that's on the verge of causing a catastrophe or anything.

  • That's the thing. It's 2025. The Switch came out in 2017 and the Switch 2 is barely a step up from the Switch OLED. Which, BTW, isn't even and option on the Switch 2. And 256 memory? Is that a joke? Plus their new scheme is to not have the games on the physical cartridge but to only have a key code on the cartridge that transfers to the console. And that's not even looking and the drastically inflated price of the games. Not just new games but all the old ones are priced out at $80 to $90 a piece as well.
