  • It's honestly better if that inventory sits on the lot unpurchased. It costs them money to store it and it looks bad for them having old inventory around months or even years out of date. Torching it just gives them a nice insurance payout.

  • They were overpriced garbage anyhow. BYD is outputting EV's that are ten times better at a fraction of the cost. The only reason they aren't being sold here is a bunch of protectionist bullshit that even democrats are responsible for.

It's only misplaced faith by a bunch of techbro traders that's even keeping the TSLA stock aloft. Tesla management literally dumps every certificate of stock they get as bonus the second they receive it.

  • Yeah, this is a hard lesson everyone should take to heart.

Edit: to add, most banks will allow you to set up automatic payments to go out to companies. This is a far better method because it doesn't put your finances in the hands of an unscrupulous corporation. (Well, other than your bank but those are the dice we roll)

  • IIRC the original US copyright law as written by the founders was 25 years or so. The extensions on that have all been in the last 70 years or so due to mega corps like Disney.

The problem with Musk and Dorsey is that they want the copyright laws to apply to them but no one else. "Rules for thee but not for me" mentality of the wealthy.

  • The guidance also includes exclusions for other electronic devices and components, including semiconductors, solar cells, flat panel TV displays, flash drives, and memory cards.

So what does that leave? Oh right, food. It's not like that's gotten super expensive at all lately.

  • It's the belief that you can spend your extra money because you're not going to go broke next week due to the stability of "the economy".

I'm personally saving every single penny and not buying a single thing beyond what I absolutely unequivocally need.

Note: It's also entirely possible I may take my extra dough out of my bank and buy gold like one of the crazies on TV because confidence in the dollar is... slipping.

  • If you are believing what those things are popping out wholesale without double-checking to see if they're feeding you fever dreams you are an absolute fool.

I don't think I've seen a single statement come out of an LLM that hasn't had some element of daydreamy nonsense in it. Even small amounts of false information can cause a lot of damage.
