Failed at being governor, and now he wants to tank the duly elected mayoral nominee for the Democratic party by attempting to split the liberal voting block in NYC. Meanwhile, Trump's buddy corrupt Eric Adams is doing exactly the same as a favor to his buddy in the White House.

There needs to be a poster on every street corner in NYC explaining this.

Preferably with pictures of both Cuomo and Adams photoshopped into the clowns they are.

Honestly thought this was a snarky Tron reference at first. Then I realized this is Lemmy and not reddit and so looked it up. Very interesting, but not sure how that helps it do math better.

The part that makes me really laugh is that this mouth breather was replying to Hank Green. Like, Tyson is an overbearing know it all, so I can see people being into trying to "debate" him so that can use his arrogance to justify their dumb beliefs. But Green is a very ground level science communicator who can always bring these kinds of idiotic arguments down to earth and destroy them with plain logic.

He doesn't get it at all. AI making people more productive means they can work more and you don't have to pay them as much.

Nah, that's just going back to my original point. Why I commented in this thread at all. Some people were acting like Lemmy was dead cause .ml devs were douche bags.

My point is that .ml is becoming less and less relevant to Lemmy as a whole as time goes on and as more users join the fediverse. New instances are always good but running down perfectly good ones like Lemmy.world is very regressive and that kind of behavior is what I left reddit to get away from.

Not all instances of Lemmy are run by tankies. Many are run by just Linux enthusiasts.

I think you have misunderstood something. I do not agree with .ml people(tankies and such). And the issue is whether or not a person can just ignore their rantings and simply enjoy Lemmy.world

I'm quite aware of enshittifacation. And, though the word is new, the concept is not. It was most recently called "planned obsolescence" and I think older folks just called it "trashy new stuff" or something folksy like that. But that's harder to apply to the amorphous entity that is the Internet and the economy that's been built around it. Don't fall for the doomsday cult of "it's all just going to shit anyway so let's only care about ourselves". That's how we got Baptists, Seventh Day Adventists, and Mormons (among so many others).

Well the hatred for the ads I get. Not just cuz people don't want to deal with ads in their content. But YouTube's algorithm or whatever it is that decides what ad you get to see too often targets the wrong people for the wrong things. Or you get a 2 to 4 minute unskipable ad for a 10 minute video. It can be frustrating.
