eSIM because I can install multiple of them in my phone and swap as needed.
I keep all the eSIM data stored in 1Password so whenever I change my phone or anything at all, I can easily download and install them to another phone too.
That's pretty cool and I am actually a little excited to try and learn it just for fun. I did very little unity before and godot sounds very interesting
They're limited as hell and buggy. The thing that most bothers me is the character limit and then your device sends out multiple SMSs, other devices may not understand that and instead of receiving one message you receive multiple broken ones.
Accents, anything not in the English alphabet: á ä ā ą é ê and so on, good luck with those.
Attaching media is a nightmare, basically the entire MMS protocol is broken.
You're relying on your carrier and your recipients carriers.
International messaging is also completely broken for the reason above. You can forget any media in that case too.
Geez I don't know if I should continue. Did you know SMS was not a feature planned in phones originally but rather it takes advantage of a bug that was never fixed?
In Brazil where I'm originally from people stopped using SMS altogether as soon as the first iPhone got in the market. Android followed shortly after. Viber was the popular choice back then, now WhatsApp is the standard.
It's definitely an unusual setup but not that much unusual.
Not sure if it helps but I also had trouble with my Dell XPS and I tried a bunch of distros and their variants, and the only one that worked flawlessly out of the box was Fedora. And not the KDE version, GNOME was better. Give it a try, it's really a great distro all by itself too.
This feeling has been haunting my thoughts since my 20s and honestly it's just intensifying. The thought of it just sucks and puts me in a very nihilist mind state which sucks too. I don't know, I just can't accept that death is normal and everyone is ok with that, and we can't do anything about it, and one day, I'll be gone too. And I can't stop simulating those very last moments in my mind, and it too, sucks.
There's a file size upload limit on lemm.ee as far as I remember. I am not sure if it has been lifted, neither what's the size, but it was something about 20 kB or something very small.
Edit: oh I see now it has been completely disabled.
Right I'm following the Pixel Art community and I saw your 2nd link before. Nice 🙂 Anyway good luck with your project, or rather, have fun with your project 😉
I use Sync for now, but full disclosure I am Beyond 's developer and as soon as it becomes more stable and with more features I will be making the switch 😁
Unfortunately those are not platforms meant for archiving, it's in their own TOS they can take down any content or entire accounts at their own will and for undisclosed reasons. Also those platforms are subject to shitty practices like report abusing, yet another reason to put your content in danger.
Also unfortunately they are very attractive because of the influence a person can build with large network of followers in those platforms and how they can leverage that.
I don't see a plausible solution or alternative. Instagram, Facebook, are the platform of the masses and where your content has the highest exposure. People today aren't browsing "the web" like we used to back then. Instagram/Facebook are the internet.
I meant that an iOS version is upcoming and the Android version is in early access, I hope you didn't think I honestly believed you can install Android apps on iOS.
