The keyword is right there: 97. Anything after ~2014 and it's a mess to find manuals, for older stuff i was able to easily find manuals and fix them no problem

Yup, thats how my hunting dog ended up with two kitties, they just appeared in the backyard and started getting rid of mice, we started giving them food and they stayed, after that my dog pretty mutch adopted them, i had to make the dog house bigger since now they sleep piled on top of eachother. Side effect is that now i have a dog and two cats that act like dogs.

This may help you for the wireless option; but it may difficult to setup on the deck due to the immutable filesystem: miraclecast allows you to use a linux device as a miracast client. Basically if you can cast your phone to the tv, you can use miraclecast to cast the deck's screen, most likely though you are gonna get a lot of latency.
