What's fucked up is if you try to regulate it and make these companies have data retention policies. It creates a giant moat around them where no newcomer can have a chance to compete.

This is why I pay extra for my co-op to source it. Cheaper to build/maintain solar/wind farms

I decided to cancel both. YT Music deleted my music that they don't have in their global library, and they fucked up the sorting of my liked playlist. Going back to buying music a la carte and storing it myself.

You are thinking of socialism, not communism. Citizens share ownership of property with socialism. Communism - property is owned by the state. Give should seize control and give to citizens in something like a Co-op.
