  • I see the headline and think "sooooo...?"

I read the article and I'm left continuing with the same question... They're trying to say that it's built on a library full of Nintendo code.

Whoop-de-fuck... Other than Nintendo, who cares? Why care? Libraries, SDKs, and drivers SHOULD be free and open source.

  • Waaaaaaaaaaaay too much conservative support here for my comfort. For a party to drop a platform as shit as theirs and have governing documents as horribly written and contradicting as theirs to STILL GET ALMOST HALF the votes? What. The. Fuck.

Merci beaucoups de Quebec for saving us all from what could have been a real bad 4 years, but let's not get comfortable.

  • Considering their platform is big on making people work past 65, maybe he should lead by example for once and work himself to the grave at a shit job. And absolutely no MAID for him if he gets terminally ill or horribly incapacitated along the way - he must work and suffer until his body naturally quits.

  • They should really ask how conservatives say they want to restore a household's ability to self-govern, but also want to strip MAID and gender-affirming care.

Or how they claim to care about freedom and the charter, but want to implement "guilty until proven innocent" for repeat offenders.

Would be fun to ask who proof-read their Policy Declaration document in general - the entire thing is a mess of contradictions.

  • If Canada doesn't have anything of value, then why does he have such a hard-on for stealing Canada? 🤔

But then, after reading the Canadian conservative policy declaration document this seems on brand. The CPC can't go more than a few sentences without contradicting themselves either. It's a terrifying document to read through, and the fact that they have as much support as they do is equally terrifying.

  • It's wild to me that anybody would vote these morons in. Their platform is nothing short of crying about Trudeau, and their policy declarations literally struggle at the best of times to go more than a point or two without contradicting themselves.

One of the dumbest was how it goes on to talk about both - how the government shouldn't interfere with the raising of a child blah blah blah and then goes on to talk about how it won't allow HRT or gender-affirming care.

The liberal platform actually has quite a bit of overlap with the conservative platform, but the difference is that they focus a lot on making the country better through reducing regulations on shipping goods between provinces. They also give a lot of examples for points they make, and any time there is potential for a negative, they managed to catch it and state that they would be making sure the negative doesn't happen - things like cutting back regulations while still ensuring consumer/environmental safety.

So while cons want to go after our pensions, make us work to our death, and suffer as much as possible, Liberals want to actually strengthen the country and give everybody a better life.

This country has been plagued by zombies or something.

  • Mine like tripled. It's fucking stupid - my house is not worth its current price. I've been hoping for a housing crash for a long time. I don't know why people are excited about their house going up - like, congrats you sold your house for more than you paid and now you get to buy an equally inflated house...

  • I remember having this problem back in like 1998 or whenever that button became a thing. Sometimes if accidentally hit it whike DOS gaming and it would crash my game. No idea why people would want to disable it these days.
