  • This seems to be more serious that what have been suggested by other comments.

Luckily one of the girls didn't like the smoothie and didn't take much. She didn't fall into deep sleep and was the one who suspected something fishy going on when the man kept coming to the basement. The man even tried to separate the girls. Again, the girl protected her friends by pulling them closer to her. She finally managed to contact her family friend, when the man went outside, messaging them to come and bring her home, and once she was saved, the other families followed suit.

Given a different scenario where everyone took the smoothies, I speculate with high degree of confidence someone would get sexually assaulted or worse.

  • Your thinking is so interesting that I need to learn the way you think. Please answer this if you don't mind: If someone who are good at what they are doing are garbage, how do you define those that are not good at what they are doing?

  • Yes, we can safely assume that those who leave NK are somehow working for the government either officially or unofficially and thoroughly vetted to ensure that they will come back to their glorious country.

  • of course they can, to the countries that have diplomatic relations with them, but not many countries, of course.

    Fun fact:

As of 2024, Malaysia is the only country in Southeast Asia that does not maintain diplomatic relations with North Korea.

  • During the initial and development stages, the top tech workers were headhunted and paid a lot to set up good infrastructure. Now that the infrastructure is already there, when there's not much new development being done, they ended up being considered overpaid with respect to the works being done. These companies will end up getting rid of this 'overpaid' workers and replace them with migrant workers that they can get for a lot less.

  • They still support Ukraine. But to bring Ukraine's grain into the country is a no go for them. Domestically Poland have to deal with the farmers, constitutes a large demographic chuck of their voters, who can't compete with the cheaper Ukraine's grain and ended up suffer financially.

edit: a news article on this matter

  • Russia's oil revenue both from the EU and in total has been massively reduced.

Not really. Although Russia revenue from the EU has been reduced significantly, they manage to open up a new market in the East that massively stabilise their gas overall revenues. Russia is nowadays redirecting its resources east and building news pipelines to meet the demand from the East e.g. China. They no longer care much about the EU market.

That was never the intention and totally unexpected outcome of the sanction. They never thought China, India and even Turkey will come to the rescue. To say EU are not affected is an understatement. The EU now has to depend on the higher price gas from the US, Germany had to abandon their green initiatives and go back to coal, and they even have to buy Russian gas at higher inflated price from middleman to circumvent their own sanction - do you really think they dont know they are actually buying Russian gas? Of course they know. But they have to because they will suffer more if they don't.
