I started a D&D campaign with friends and it was a great first session. I love my character coming to life. There are some background things to figure out still but I love love playing them so the whole thing is already a big win in my book.
This week will be my final days of chilling at home before I start my new job next Tuesday. I'm excited to start doing something again after 2.5 months unemployed. Trying not to think about how tired I'll be in 2 weeks from now 😅
Picked two beautiful yellow raspberries today and I was so excited I ate them immediately and forgot to take a pic hehe
Maybe I'll clear out my raised bed to plant some winter vegs soon. I just let it grow wild because the extra green looked nice and the bugs love the shade during summer :). I wouldn't mind taking it back to grow some carrots tho.
I guess I mean just let others do it without judging them and don't be elitist about media consumption. Cause that's something I encounter a lot in my life.
Been reading my fancy gold-green-and-black edition of the cthulhu mythos tales. Some crazy stuff in there. I'm glad I'm finally taking the time to read it after sitting on thus for some 6 years.
Also second interview on Friday for the job I really want, then my bestie's birthday party afterwards 🎉
I got it as a potted cutlet from the one my parents have had for over a decade, so no idea what the cultivar is really. I might try some Google lense-ing when the fruits are ripe.
Some initial research showed that for yellow raspberries (which it should be, because the mother plant is) it's actually normal to fruit year one, so yay 🙏
My raspberry shrub is flowering and seems like it will actually bear some fruit, so yay! I didn't expect it to fruit year one so I'm happy about that :)
Everything else on the balcony is doing ok. The olive has been loving the hot summer but I'm curious to see how it will do when the weather gets colder in September.
It's at a software development company that one of my best friends works at so I got an easy leg up and kind of just lucked into the easiest application process I've ever experienced. Fingers crossed besties 🤞
