The world would be a better place if locked bootloaders were not a thing. I agree that there needs to be laws in place to prevent the sale of these devices.
To me Blue Shift and Opposing Force were both fun experiences. Played all games several times. They provided more Half-Life when the craving after finishing the main game had not been satiated.
When new OEM PCs comes with Linux pre-installed is when stuff happens. Not before then. Windows 11 adoption will be slow cause of their exclusion of old hardware. That old hardware will be scrapped or people just keep Windows 10 on it, regardless of security warnings.
The Desktop Linux experience, with gaming and all, seems pretty close to fulfilling everyone needs at this point. But it would not surprise me if Microsoft goes around paying OEM manufacturers to not bundle anything but windows with their products.
That is not entirely accurate. Those laws will be selectively enforced against you in particular, cause they don't like you. This is a very common tactic in less civilized places. Have rules that no one is following and you have something to hold against your citizens when it suits you. So it does indeed matter.
GOG tends to be my prefered source of games. DRM free and i have the option of making my own backups. I never felt the need to though. And i love the convenience of being able to download my games.
When i order food, i want it brought to my table and for the bringer to be as invisible and quiet as can be. I also avoid places where i can't pay up front. I never understood the tiping thing.
I fear bad health, not cause what other sees, but cause how it will affect my quality of life. I also fear pain.
I never feared getting chubby. It was never an obstacle to social interactions. I say eat what you want, don't overdo it. If your doctor tells you to stop, then follow their recommendations.
I don't think it's ever a great idea to engage in self destructing behaviour, such as smoking, no matter your age. Avoid messing up your body, and the chances for a happier life goes up.
