There's no 'love' for Meta, most people don't think in those terms. It's just that their platforms are in heavy use in many countries and you tend to use the method most common to people in your circle.
My older friends and family use Messenger and SMS, my similarly aged peers use WhatsApp, and my work colleagues use Signal. So I correspond across all these. I know the benefits and pitfalls of each but I can't influence the established communication choices of others. The only people i know who use Telegram are racist nutjobs.
I feel similar. I'm good at my profession (very white collar) and have managed to start my own business based on a good reputation in the industry, solid outcomes etc. I'm pretty good with my hands and troubleshooting so I'm handy in a crisis, good at solving problems. I read a lot about lots of different things, I listen to a lot of different music so I'm a good person to have on your trivia team. I've kept pretty fit into my late 30s so I'm up for any exercise or going for long rambling adventures.
But am I great, beyond my peers at any one particular thing? God no. And it bothers me. I wish I was really, really, really good at any one thing to the point someone would call me an expert, but I'm just not. I don't have the energy, interest or focus to dedicate to one thing, so I'm just 'okay' to 'pretty good' at a tonne of things, but not necessarily better than any one person in the room.
Why are you speaking as a collective re hexbear? Is resistance futile? Will I be assimilated?
No one has had a go at 'me' because I'm neither part of, nor represent a group. I just have eyes.
Yeah nah, no responses. If you need the sense of 'confront' and conquer, you can put this exchange in your trophy case or sticker book or whatever it is that gratifies you.
I have formed my opinion on hexbear not as a general feeling, but that in every single post there are multiple dickheads, being dickheads with hexbear in their usernames.
That's entirely it. I'm not here enough to care about how Federation works or the different instances, but one thing is very recent and very consistent - hexbear wankers being tools and ruining the threads.
And they all, also consistently, go on about triggering the libs and living rent free, and every other cliche. It's identical to the Maga nuts vs literally everyone else. They project their own feverish support identity onto a perceived opposition, assuming that Democrat supporters are frothing at the mouth in the same way. An invented enemy with invented characteristics that they feel entitled to act disgracefully against.
It's the same but with the same memes being posted over and over. 'yourselves' - mate I'm not part of a side, or a club, or a group - I'm just a person on here occasionally trying to read things and have reasonable discussions, and everyone who comments here with hexbear in their usernames seem to be 14 year old edgelords. It's all very predictable and very annoying.
When you realise you're a meme-grade stereotype, don't you feel a little....small? And sad? Especially when the opposition you meet doesn't fit the stereotype you've projected on them? Because that means you're playing fantasy role-playing with yourself. Which must be a bit lonely?
Thanks for the suggestion but this seems a cumbersome alternative. My work is in the digital space and note taking needs to be there in a fairly rapid and shareable way. I'm seeking an improvement to my onenote use (handy but not handwritten), and my scores of paper notes (handwritten but handy to no one else), plus the ability to handwrite creative pieces and not have to type them up online. Thanks again though!
I've never experienced this, nor heard of anyone experiencing this. I've eaten everything from freezer burnt McCain's pizza, to Domino's, to authentic wood fired pizza handmade by an Italian friend while I visited him over there (an actual Italian, not an 'I'm Italian' American.
There is either something wrong with your GI system or you have a food allergy or intolerance. You should see someone about that.
