Good for you for being open minded to new experience. That's what I've never understood about picky eaters. You will eat food your entire life. It is one of the main things you will continue to do for your entire existence. Confining yourself through your adulthood to bland or junk food purely because that was what you grew up with seems like such a waste.
*Insert caveats about privilege/access/ignorance/income (I'm speaking from the perspective of people who have the option but refuse it; those are the people I know, but it's not a universal experience)
Definitely seems like he hurt himself gripping something. Caught a falling knife would make sense if he ate anything that required cutting. Maybe held a frozen railing and lost skin?
Where does it imply loser? It's a light self deprecating joke. I recall making the same digs at myself because my Sims 3 character was doing really well and I felt like I was living vicariously through them. The age of the game is a fraction of the joke. Do you get this agitated when people joke in real life around you?
It's because typically women aren't combatants (outside of organised military) so they're typically unarmed innocents like children. It doesn't preclude men from being the same, and I totally agree with your point too, but the 'women and children' figures typically hit home that large swathes of civilians are being killed in conflict. It's a way of explaining to the reader that shit is fucked.
Additionally, women are the key to the next generation. This is genocide.
I genuinely enjoyed Leo. I'm 37. Don't have kids, don't really watch much of the newer animated stuff. I was surprised by leo. Even Sandler 's stupid voice worked.
