Corporate are better with maintenance but they will never show an ounce of mercy if you don't pay the rent on time. If you get lucky, that may not be the case with a non corpo landlord.

Compared to who came before and after Kissinger treated Chinese people much more as people. He opened up relations between the US and China at a time that that wasn't easy to do. Now, he did this to foster the Sino-Soviet split and kill Communism, but Chinese statesmen still see him as much more pragmatic and rational than the Taiwan-arming brinksmen who are currently propelling us towards World War III, and rightly so. He was someone who you could at least talk to and come to an agreement with.

Not only this, they secured a future for Chinese GPU manufacturing like Moore Threads by substantially decreasing the target they have to reach to be competitive with the graphics mafia at Nvidia. Specialized AI chips are a lot simpler than a full GPU with full CUDA compatibility. All you need is compatibility with PyTorch which is fully open source, and a GPU that does matrix multiplication well possibly with low precision support for inference. If precision flexibility features are too hard you can make specialized chips for training and specialized chips for inference. USA really shot its own companies in the foot with this one.

Did the Palestinians not want to live in peace when the Israelis ethnically cleansed them from their homes where they had been living for generations? Surely they've tried peaceful protest in the past, but the desired result was not achieved. Do you really expect a people who were torn from their lands and oppressed for generations to just lie down and rot so you can have your "peace"? How can you even call it peace in the first place when you are constantly committing acts of violence against the oppressed group? That's not peace, that's just a war that you're currently winning, and committing further war crimes will surely lead to more militant opposition, not less. Anyone who read the US counterinsurgency handbook could tell you that if you kill someone's father, son, mother, or daughter, they will definitely hate you more as a result and probably will take up arms to oppose you.

Scots-Irish people on Turtle Island are actually not necessarily Irish at all. We are Scottish people who colonized Northern Ireland and then came over from there to Turtle Island. There's the possibility of mixing between Scots and Irish but we are some of the most settlers to ever settler.

Even without death camps we have a wide variety of concentration camps here in the US, many which have or had conditions bad enough to cause death at a higher rate. Whether it's the indigenous genocide and reservation system, the prison system which is the biggest forced labor camp system in the world, mostly for Black and poor people, the immigrant detention centers that separated children of legal asylum seekers from their parents, or the Japanese internment camps in WWII, the US really is a world leader in fascism.

Electric cars should be cheaper than gasoline cars! They are so much simpler mechanically and barely require maintenance. You can even have a motor for each wheel. There's the issue of lithium dendrites of course, but this is getting better all the time.
