I just thought of a pretty optimistic angle though, if Biden drops out and a new candidate runs, its their first term. With someone younger winning gives them a better chance at using whats supposed to be a huge incumbency advantage for 8 more years of dems controlling the whitehouse at least.
Wha...what do you mean not in the conversation, you are literally conversing with someone about her, on a front page post about her. She is popular, and no presidential candidate has ever not been divisive. Not being trump is divisive.
No that was predominantly Biden himself, who issued an executive order to create a presidential emergency board to intervene in the negotiations, and proposed a deal. Union workers did not accept the deal and planned to strike, and Biden requested democrats force the unions to accept the deal and outlaw the strike. Notably, against the wishes of Bernie who opposed the legislation for containing zero sick days for rail workers.
Also notably, IBEW was in favor of that deal from the start, and they are an electrical workers union. They always had the sick days. Not all rail workers got sick days, they didnt get as much as if they had the ability to strike, and most importantly of all lost all of the future leverage that comes with collective bargaining.
Its open faced at this point, this kind of shit will continue until the rulings are ignored. The reason student loans got so much focus is because unlike other legislation proposals, student loans are entirely at the discretion of the department of education under the executive branch. Like how the DEA has authority over drug scheduling.
The executive branch has these authorities, the judiciary does not have the authority to rescind them, only congress can

Problem is, its not largely climate change spending. Everyone just sees the headline "biggest climate bill in history" and thats good enough for them. Well, wheres the cheaper EV's? Wheres the solar panels, the wind farms, why is oil production still increasing? Everyone got scammed. Its a puny climate bill that even has anti climate components like more land leasing for oil and gas extraction. It got poisoned with lobbyists and capitalism, its tax cuts for businesses in hopes theyll do good.
The heavy, direct influence of a billion+ person goverment dumping untold resources into producing EVs/Solar/etc at dirt cheap rates, then selling them, means that no other country can create it’s own independent industry in these very important products.
Why cant the US dump more resources to compete? Why is the answer to one country investing heavily in climate change fighting technologies not to invest heavily in climate change fighting technologies yourself?
Gaza was an open air prison enforced by Israel taking total control of Gaza's borders, both north and south and even their sea border. It was a humanitarian crisis of people dying from lack of supplies like food and water.
Climate change is real. China feels like the only country treating it like its real. I see stories about a country investing heavily in renewable energy, in EVs, in energy storage, and i dont understand why theyre not getting unanimous applause. Other countries are mad because they're doing better than them and want to drag them down to our gas SUV dependent level. Other countries should feel nothing but shame for not treating climate change like its real.
This is a complete denial of the authority of both the executive and legislative branches. It was a congressional law passed that created the department of justice and explicitly gave the attorney general the authority to prosecute for any crimes the United States has a stake in.
Our lows are in the high 80’s on a good day in the summer!
You know i can look up weather online right? Im in Mississippi, im all too familiar with humidity and muggy nights, ive lived without AC in the summer, i know its not comfortable temps at night, or during cloud cover. But its much lower temps than midday sun and the AC has to run a lot less to maintain desired temps.
