  • you aint gonna do it cus you know you're just gonna be walking out of taco bell with some napkins, and you and OP are full of it.

  • My argument was not about whether you could get napkins by asking for one.

no, it was about being provided one. So go to taco bell, order some food, and ask for one, and then come back and tell me that they provided you with napkins.

  • they don't even provide napkins or straws anymore

I repeat, go to any fast food place, order some food, and ask for a napkin.

  • I ask you to go to any fast food place, order some food, and ask for a napkin, then come back and tell me you were being a lunatic making up a crisis. For gods sake you people think there's low napkin alarms in the dispensers?

  • a policy that requires other marketplaces to sell at the same price as on Steam

    or what?

  • they'll be storming our beaches with their famous naval fleet

  • I been followin this guys bullshit since 2008 when he launched his political career by being a racist conspiracy theory nutjob shouting about Obama not being born in America despite a publicly available birth certificate from the beginning. Surely...surely this is political suicide I thought. And ever since it's just been a long series of "surely this time". He wont be the republican nominee. He wont be president. and then he contracted the virus that was killing millions, and I was like you. This unhealthy old man. But it never happens.

  • However it should be a straightforward thing

Shouldnt it though? You'd think it'd be obvious how dangerous his rhetoric is after Jan 6th. But no, gag order goes on hold, wonder how many months and attempts on the lives of court staff itll take to reinstate it.

  • Threatening the court does typically come with consequences. This article calls this filing tired and laughable, but Trump is still not under gag order. Not to mention the court case itself being about crimes alleged years ago.

  • Yeah this is kinda what i was expecting, zero consequences while news stories keep trying to make it sound like he's being destroyed. I imagine we're still gonna be hearing about Trumps latest appeal being struck down 10 years from now while still waiting on sentencing.

  • folks are used to battery tech being so important from cars due to energy density and weight being so important. But stationary energy storage can be simple. hydro-electric dams use water flowing downhill to generate electricity, and use excess electricity to pump water uphill. You can have a simple motor lifting a weight with a pulley as energy storage.

It's never needed new technology to solve, it's been intentionally held back so rich people can continue making money off all that oil extraction equipment and land leases they bought.

  • Part of the drive I would say is a sort of twisted arms race of personal safety. Not just the big alpha bois wanting to broadcast big dick energy, but timid and mild mannered folks too not wanting to be crushed by a mini monster truck. Not realizing their own tank is threatening the safety of other drivers. That's the kicker for me, tiny cars arent inwardly dangerous, big vehicles are outwardly dangerous. I dont think it's something that's gonna naturally come down. Like many problems in life it's probably solvable by more public infrastructure so folks can just opt to not drive at all, with no worries of even the most lifted truck overpowering the train you're riding on.

  • Taking a high cut is the opposite of anti-competitive, that makes it easier for competitors to offer a better deal

  • So is the allegation just that Steam is too successful?

  • More like native habitats themselves will be shifting. Species in the southern regions of their hardiness zones just wont be native there anymore.
