Thats the issue. Innocent until proven guilty. I believe he's guilty, but for setting legal precedent this makes accusations enough to bar a candidate in an election.

1, he's been elected before, yet we've still got our election system. 2, democrats are actually trying to dismantle democracy by denying a huge number of voters the ability to vote for their choice for president. Dont by hypocritical, flip the roles around and imagine Trump or republican states are the ones barring Biden from running. It's not gonna sit well with you is it?

Democracies mean the people decide, even if that goes against who you want to win.

How does this always turn into what will Trump or Biden do next year about the Gaza genocide? Forget the election, Biden is president now, people are protesting what he is doing now, there likely wont be a Gaza by the start of the next presidential term. They've been pushed from the north into the southernmost region, and that region is currently being bombed.

The state militia system has evolved into the modern era of multi branched national military. And that was the point of the second amendment, to form a well regulated militia. That is our well regulated militia.

So you could maybe make some argument for a deterrent effect, but in general, the US hasn’t really had to actively use the militia against external forces in a long time.

This is all the more reason we dont need everyone in America armed. We're not thwarting off foreign miltaries anywhere near our borders.

In the spirit of the constitution, the right to bear arms will be to form a well regulated militia. Meaning gun licensing comes with mandatory military service.
