  • moderation sucks across the vast majority of Lemmy

Moderation isn't ideal, but absent moderators aren't going to moderate even with the best tools

  • I support you, but it seems like we really are in the minority here

  • I do regularly post content on

I prefer not to flood this community with country-specific content.

YSK - for all the things that can make your life easier!

Does this post fit this description? I'm not saying it's not interesting, just that it's not relevant in this community.

  • I’m American so I was I not supposed to care about the recent situation in South Korea? Should I have complained because not everyone on Lemmy is a South Korean citizen?

That event wasn't posted on !youshouldknow@lemmy.world , it was posted on World News communities, where this post would completely fit.

  • We should probably have a dedicated community for that

  • Also, why not mentioning one instance when making that comment?

  • I still remember when federation was barely working. We've made good progress since then

  • You can't appoint mods from non-local accounts unfortunately

  • That community is doing okay. From an ethical perspective, the author doesn't get any benefit from us posting meme or fan arts about that universe.

  • Indeed. There's also the issue of LW being so large that other instances can have issues to keep with its activities. That has been fixed in 0.19.6, but LW hasn't updated yet.

  • Hello,

The current most active community is !leaky_cauldron@diagonlemmy.social, maybe you can start posting there first? It's not a very popular topic on Lemmy, so your posts should get good visibility

  • That's the truth. For people remembering how large was Lemmy before the API fiasco, the vast majority of people here came from Reddit.

  • Everyone else is already here or is not interested in text-based forums
