I really thought so too.

It’s easier for him to claim it doesn’t exist, then give all that money to 5 really rich people instead.

Funding is not guaranteed by the first amendment, but trump retaliating against them because he doesn’t like their content is a violation of free speech and that’s what the lawsuit is alleging. From the article: “The Order’s objectives could not be clearer: the Order aims to punish NPR for the content of news and other programming the President dislikes and chill the free exercise of First Amendment rights by NPR and individual public radio stations across the country.”

Yeah, but Zelenskyy didn’t wear a suit or thank trump himself publicly for the hundredth time, so I’m sure trump is still team Putin.

I can’t wait to get one of those high paying jobs assembling iPhones when they bring the manufacturing back here.

As a socially anxious person myself, I like the idea of not having to interact with a cashier, but I hate the idea that some rich guy is profiting off of killing jobs and putting the work on me to do, so I only use them if I have one or two items and there’s no line.

This has been teetering for a while, but trump definitely pushed us over the edge.

Agreed, that and yellow bird habanero are the two sauces that I need to have a supply of at all times.

I’d much rather receive either of those than something that I don’t need, want or even like that I have to pretend that I really wanted, then either attempt to return it or store for a while in case that person comes over before ultimately throwing it away. Most of the presents I have received on birthdays and holidays fall into that category.

Sounds like a hate crime to me.

I’d rather be a cop in rural America. 58k is not much in New York and everyone you deal with wants to kill you.

Because we’re stupidly paying middleman insurance companies before we pay healthcare companies. Oh also because those two industries are in cahoots to maximize profits at the expense of our health. Didn’t read the article but seems like common sense.

This is what every journalist in America needs to be doing right now.

They just stopped using the traffic cameras in my county this year. I’ve been pulled over twice this year now after never getting a camera ticket and not being pulled over for the last 15 years. I guess they have to make the money somewhere. I’d prefer the cameras.
