A religion is just the final form of a successful cult that got big enough and old enough that it no longer needs to take the drastic "cult-like" measures to restrict its members and separate them from society- because it has thoroughly infiltrated and colonizied that society to such an extent that being born into that society is enough.
Also, next summer is July 4 2026- a nice round 250 years since July 4 1776. So I don't know what's planned but I would be surprised if it's nothing. Then in November the midterm elections, which really are the test of whether their whole Project 2025 revolution succeeds or fails. If the system continues to work as usual, Republicans lose control of congress. If not, everyone realizes we've already had our last free and fair election and the fix is in for 2028 too. So that's going to be an interesting four months.
I don't foresee any elections getting cancelled. Russia has 'elections'. North Korea has 'elections...'
