  • Geeze yeah the Iranians I saw certainly weren't protesting. They just wanted war and blood. It's hard to explain the real face of Islam unless you see it first hand - check it out sometime!

It's spooky to see how Islam changes Iranians - they're usually the kindest, most open minded and welcoming people. The Islamists though...wow

  • Completely agree. I've lived in Malaysia and they're pretty chilled there. Some places though Islam gets pretty full on. Check out Islamabad or Tehran sometime - yikes. Nothing like seeing a march of people chanting, 'Death to the west!' and flaying themselves bloody while doing it to realise Islam ramps up.

  • Tolerance is not a moral requirement but a social contract.

By social contract I mean it's an agreement that I will tolerate you as long as you tolerate me.

Islamic groups literally want some sections of western society dead (queer community etc) and other sections subjugated (women). They violate the contract and we shouldn't be accepting of that.

tldr: We shouldn't pander to people who think a book burning means someone should die.

  • Lol you claim it's one person with multiple accounts when anyone downvotes you 😂

There's actual propaganda teams on here, Islamists and the usual incel angry boys like yourself who would eat Hamas ass all day if they could.

  • Holy crap Hamas really was trying to get bingo on their war crime card. The horror of their crimes is next level.

The whataboutism crowd should soon pile on to excuse Hamas as justified and righteousness. No evil to see here definitely! 🤮

  • I mean Hamas definitely wanted Gaza attacked. It's the only logical outcome of the Oct 7 attack and the purpose of taking hostages.

If I was Palestinian I'd be wondering why my government hates me enough to sacrifice me for some propaganda.

  • Is that all there is to it? Signal is open source. If they wanted to be extra paranoid they could take and maintain their own branch but that's a bit silly. Building your own is almost certainly the least secure option

  • Hamas took hostages so Israel would come after them of course. They'd been unsuccessful provoking them with small attacks prior.

Sadly for the Palestinians, Hamas is actively trying to use them as war propaganda by forcing a war and as much suffering as possible. Why? To isolate Israel and soften it up for the larger attack.

  • What would I do? Treat the patients, then contact my boss telling them I'd spotted some of the hostages, in bad condition and post torture.

Given MSF seems to be working hard to sweep this under the rug I'd probably forward the exchange to several newspapers next.

Morals people. Call out the MSF and demand they apologise for violating their principles if nothing else.

  • Yeah this isn't one of those grey areas. A few gunmen drag in freshly raped, crying women who are begging for help and you assist the gunmen, you become complicit.

Here's the relevant section of the MSF Code of Conduct that the doctors in question flouted if morality is a tricky one for you:

MSF staff members and operational partners shall not accept, under any circumstances, behaviour that exploits the vulnerability of others, in the broadest possible sense (sexual, economic, social, etc.).
