It's a double edged sword. Assad gone is a good thing, however it remains to be seen that it's a good thing for the people of Syria, only time will tell. But you can't cling onto a shitty dictator on the off chance that things might be worse. The people of Syria certainly seem to be happy about it.
From the Tankie perspective, they couldn't give a flying fuck about the people of Syria, only what it means for the "unity" of anti-US aligned countries such as Iran & Russia.
I think generally it's calmed down over the past 12 months and don't see so much shitty behaviour like we used to. There would be a tendency for them to jump onto a thread and swarms of them would dogpile onto people spamming them with pictures and antagonize people.
The tankie communities are definitely seeing the fall of Assad as a very bad thing. I was surprised at first, but then not surprised that they'd be supportive of dictator that aligns with Russia.
This is essentially what happened with ukip and Brexit in the UK. It took a while for the movement to gain traction but it did eventually start to put pressure on the government at the time.
The only issue is if that you'll no doubt need rich backers to gain influence... But that might be a bit of an issue if your entire platform is to shit on the same people who you need.

If I knew someone used Reddit then I'd just say it's like Reddit but instead of a single authority in charge of Reddit, anyone can take the Reddit software and host it themselves, and if you create an account on one site you can still subscribe to subreddits on other sites and vote and comment on posts.
This is giving the people more power over having the ability to gracefully end their own lives rather than the state saying people should continue to live in pain and suffering.

You're asking why a dictator who uses chemical weapons on people being removed is a good thing?
I was basing it on threads I saw on Lemmygrad and Hexbear. Their only concern is about the impact is has on Russia, Iran & China.
