  • They are different though! The glass measuring cup is for liquid and the ones that nestle into each other are for dry ingredients. You need to fill the little ‘1 cup’ dry measuring cup to the brim with ingredients to get an accurate measurement, which is pretty much impossible with the glass wet measuring cups.

When you are measuring dry ingredients, you can fill the same cup with more flour or whatever depending on how you fill it as well, but with liquid it’s, well, fluid.

So, you can measure wet ingredients in the dry ingredients cup, but not the other way around.

  • When we moved to a new town, we went to the library every day to work online until our internet got hooked up. The main branch in town has a switch that you can play upstairs, and a bunch of 3d printers. They even have the latest video games that you can rent; I wanted to give it a try but I’ve got too many in the backlog already lol.

  • What kind of companies are you applying to? I’m pretty sure if I tried this with most of the places I’ve bee in applying to in the tech field, they would just laugh it off and say they don’t have that information.

  • And its allowing for remote workers in Canada or the United States. Most tech jobs I see lately are the opposite, they want you to do more work than the role entails for less money than it should be making, and less and less of those jobs offer remote work. Lots of the jobs I have been applying for want you to do the work of a supervisor for the pay of a specialist.

  • Everything that the federal government announces ‘could help’ the issues that they are supposed to help, but the complete lack of oversight and accountability means it rarely ever does anything. How much of this money is going to be eaten up in administrative costs before houses can even be built? What does the government mean to when it says “affordable housing” and what happens if the housing that is created with this money doesn’t fall into that category?

  • Crazy that there is ANOTHER plot being uncovered. Also very interesting that Iran was using Hells Angels and paying over $300,000. Didn’t the Canadian guy that was part of an assassination plot from India agree to do it for like $3,500?

  • This seems like it will help no one except the universities. I guess they need another way to extort people since they can’t bring in an unlimited number of international students anymore. Let’s see how ‘affordable’ the new student housing ends up being. I’m guessing $2000/month for a bed in a shared room?

  • When I was a kid (20 years ago) my parents would make pickles, and some assorted pickled veggies. Usually the veggies would come from a farm around us or an auction where you could buy trays of veggies about the size of a flat of canned drinks. They would also do some fruits in syrup, mainly ones that my uncle would bring us from another part of the country where him and his neighbours had fruit tree.
