The trouble is that even the consciousness maintenance needs power. If the power is out for too long the infrastructure is too damaged. So it actually does return when you turn it off. It just has to be done quickly enough.
Yeah. We laughed at the "would you still love me if I was a worm" question. But there are many people who actually do get a truthful answer to that question.
And supposedly the German mark got it's name because the pound was too much for them so they made a mark at the appropriate place to make it smaller and used that instead.
Oh, and I just remembered the old Thief games. They had pretty consistent difficulty. At least for the first two. I cannot remember if that was retained with the third because it was a little more open in terms of what you acquired in the hub world and took on missions. And we don't talk about the fourth (which was a reboot nobody wanted, not even the dev team).
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 could be what you're looking for. The main story areas are significantly easier than all the side content.

But you can easily get through the game without doing any side quests. And if you are afraid of being overpowered when you do play the side stuff, they recently added some nice controls to bump up the difficulty.
Sure. But from the point of view of most people everyone (especially gamers) has a Discord account and nobody has a Lemmy account. Even a Mastodon account would suffice. But compared to Discord nobody uses these.

Good luck finding a stable orbit for that. It's hard enough to calculate our sun, earth and moon. With six bodies it'll take a long while to calculate something that can last the billions of years needed for life to evolve.
Maybe if one star is similar to our sun and the other similar to Jupiter it could work.
