  • Yes, since Fedora 21 when it switched by default.

It hasn't really caused game breaking issues for me, however it is nice that the few nit-picks have all been resolved.

I get the sense that the majority of people use it on Workstations, there is just a vocal minority that resists the change. There are so many academic and enterprise users just using distros in their default state Wayland and all.

  • Hmm I never had an issues with just one NanoHD but you bring a good point with load balancing.

Not only could I get both extreme corners of my house and further lower the tx power, I could also load balance so video didn't interfere with steam downloads

  • They test and maintain their own kernel tree instead. I find this advantageous for Workstation use which tends to be on newer hardware than servers.

Despite this Fedora is the furthest distro from unstable that I have experienced, which is why I recommend it as a "no frills" option.

I would not recommend Fedora or Pop for servers.

  • Unfortunately I understand AMDs side too. Shared memory access is hard in general. Unfortunately you have to depend on that for integrated gpus.

Kernel 6.8, aside from the GPU issues, has been great on this platform so I do still believe the 7040's will maintain the AMD tendency to age like fine wine.

  • Oat milk and coffee taste like they're meant to be together.

Just make sure it's a good Oat Milk. The Chobani extra creamy is my favorite.

Another idea is to drop some coconut oil into the coffee. It's different but it's something and you don't taste the coconut if you get refined oil.
