I did buy that (and the aforementioned drum) for my friends kids.

I like my friend a lot and I adore her kids. I always get her kids an annoying toys. One of them got this a couple of years ago. Goes great with the drum I got a few years earlier.

No batteries though. They just take them out.

I really enjoy getting them "kids" books that aren't really for kids. But now I do give her notice because the 8 year is probably starting to not go over her head.

Your invalid assumption is that those actions make someone nice. It makes them polite. If you live here you've surely encountered the case where someone suggests getting together outside of the shared context you are currently in (like work). You know damn well that the correct answer is non committal. "yes we should do that soon". Under no circumstances was this a real invitation and you do not start suggesting dates.

If Minnesota Nice was a compliment it would just be called nice. People confuse polite with nice. The best way to describe it is "nice to your face".

It's a special kind of nice.

There are plenty of MAGAS around. My old suburban district used to vote republican by a decent margin. That's changed and we've elected Democrat to us house for a few cycles. But that democrat was Dean Philips. Northfield is about about 30 minutes out of the metro and is going to be very maga around it.

I had a job where they disabled access to all printers. If you needed a hard copy, you had to email the document to the printer admins and they would print after reviewing it.

Similarly, they were too cheap to pay for zoom licenses so if you needed a meeting longer than 40 minutes, you had to email the zoom admins with the list of attendees and they would create it.

But getting a repeating zoom meeting scheduled was virtually impossible.

Sounds worse than UPS. I know that if I'm supposed to get something from on a Saturday, that it won't be coming until Monday. Every fucking time "business closed". I dont live in a fucking business.
