  • ...along with Italy (I am Italian and I support this due to our fascist government acting, well, fascist), Serbia (no shit), Pakistan (I am ignorant about this one) and the Democratic Republic of Congo...

...how is the DRC not in that list since forever, seriously!?!

  • Went for a beer with a bunch of people from my industry, organized on a Slack community on which a lot of the industry, globally, is on.

Few weeks later I lose my job due to KKR doing a rug pull. I write on Slack that I am on the job market and get 2 recruitment processes the same week.

During one of the two, I get offered a good salary, then I go to the last interview in the other one's process, and I say how much I was offered, but the American salesman who is at the head of the department tells me that not coming with a client portfolio (I am not in sales AT ALL) he can only offer up to 10% less.

I get the other job and get good enough that I am going around speaking at conferences, and every time I meet the American in town I smirk at him.

  • Choosing this post among many others to say that I am tired of old men declaring wars they have no skin in, for a future they will never leave. The world is starting to mirror the mental images of their deteriorating brains.

  • Today I watched both Trudeau and Sheinbaum's addresses.

I must say that Americans get even worse reputation everytime Trump and Vance talk even just because of the contrast with some of the best, most prepared speakers and I must say attractive individuals in politics today.

  • Yea sorry, I accidentally anglicized.

Skimming over the link, I can see that a clear explanation is still lacking and that environmental theory is showing results.

Believing it is mostly genetic reinforces the claims of the class who has access to better education to maintain those accesses and resources.

  • We give a lot because we produce a lot. Italy's arms export grew 86% between 2019 and 2024.

And while we are too weak to be openly against our major trade partner, Germany, she is also balancing her act with our second trade partner, the USA and trying to explain her electorate that she is still the one they voted for who called Orbán an exemplary leader, all while Salvini, another prominent member of her government, screamed for a Peace Prize to Trump as soon as he appeared to give in to Putin.

Right now Starmer and Meloni are what is dragging everyone else's feet on a United EU Defense plan and an EU-led diplomatic move towards Russia.

In the 100 years old tradition of fascist parties in Italy, she is also subject to the whims of much more powerful actors internally and externally.

  • The click-click-click of a perfectly healthy bicycle hub when slowing down without pedaling. It's the metaphor sound I use to the feeling of a team working well together: not going to be silent, but you can soundly sleep on it.

  • Half-life. Maybe it didn't innovate specifically anything, but it's the first real maturely designed game, with incredible attention to detail and focused on conveying a cinematic story in fully interactive environments.

And don't get me started on HL2.

  • Zen browser is my daily browser since many months now. Most of your fair criticisms I have solved with Zen Mods and playing around in the settings.

The Widewine limitation is really why I will always keep another browser to fall back to: I recently discovered that all of Udemy is non-playable in Zen.
