Yeah, all I can think of is that they would play ads 24/7 right in front of the parking spot.

Crazy thing is, one of the methods plumbers use to install a shutoff valve if they can’t turn off the city point is to freeze the pipe before where the new shutoff valve is to be installed. I always thought that was wild.

On top of what ShustOne said, I would argue that they have know this for over 10 years and was the reason they created Netflix originals starting with House of Cards.

I would say that is a different issue. DMCA could go to whatever external host as well so that doesn’t change.

My argument was about putting faith in external providers to stay alive to continue hosting media. You can also get in a situation where an external provider decides to do a mass delete like what Imgur did this past summer.

The flip side of the argument is that if you also host the media you are not at risk of having broken links. I’ve seen a number of long running forums that had post bodies that contained external images that are now broken.

Of course an argument can be made that the only reason that those forums have lived for so long was due to not having costs associated with hosting media.

I think I misunderstood him. I assumed he meant that the inside of his house was 95, but I think he meant that the outside was 95. Still anything over 80 indoors I can’t handle.

Edit: nope just read his other reply and it was 95 inside. Again, fuck that.

Lol same, I joined FMHY first because I wanted in on a smaller instance. I now self host. Fool me once.

I am still hurt by what Ubisoft did to Star Trek bridge crew. IMO it is one of the best vr games released, the game mechanics are perfect for vr.

Not sure what happened this time but last time it was due to loosing their domain. FMHY was the first instance I joined and is now the reason I self host.

Of course not, but what little I know of NFTs is they do the two things needed for that to be possible: one, ability to transfer ownership, and two, verify ownership.

I have no clue if NFTs are the best way to accomplish that, let alone even a good way, and people much smarter than me can figure that out.

In the end I don’t think it matters. For it to be viable it would require the big companies to adopt it, which I never see them accepting a legal way to do second hand sales of digital goods.

The one example I’ve heard that makes sense are NFTs to represent a purchase of digital games. This then allows the selling of digital keys second hand.

Other than that it all sounds like a scam.
