Yes, story broke out eventually, but it was silenced on social media when it broke because of political orders - a fact. I don't know why saying that automatically makes people wince in horror. Both sides of political spectrum engage in silencing free speech when needed.

I remember good ol' times in Yugoslavia under Josip Broz Tito when workers lived like kings, no more and no less good than their fellow comrades in the Party. And the same can be seen throughout the countries that adopted communism at some point in their history. Common folk always had the lifestyle and privileges same as distinguished Party members. Even if you weren't member of the Party or were voicing your displeasure with Party's politics, you would live a long and prosperous life.
