Yes, it is a reaction to that, and yes the meme is wrong in many ways, that's why I posted it on a shitposting sub, I'd add more religions in retrospective tho.
Because those people will spend it poorly. And that's not entirely their fault. They don't know any better.
I wouldn't say poorly, if your kids need a few new things for school, is that money really spent poorly? Most people know better, but they can't spend it on anything else, than the things they need at the moment. You can't save/invest money if you are starving.
This thread makea me think of dark souls 1, where Siglinde of Catharina had to kill her father as he went hollow.
But seriosly, you seem like quiet a good parent, maybe adopt children, if you don't want them to have bad odds of getting Alzheimer. Also realisticly your partner would be the first person who'd take care of you.
A important thing, that a lot of people here seem to forget: teenagers are more likely to be influenced by fashion trends, than reason, but they aren't stupid.
Your examples are just bad, because those things weren't done with good intentions.
Also every transperson (at least everyone I know) was actually happy after social and physical transition. And I highly doubt, that people with autism were happier than before when locked into a mental asylum.
Only because some conservative idiots with no psycological expertise think being trans is bad, doesn't mean that people shouldn't be able to transition.
Also what else would you suggest to do if someone feels terrible in their social gender role?
