She doesn’t have to do anything and I wouldn’t really expect her to take the Dead Kennedys approach. It makes it clear though, how politics in this country have gotten to where they are when those who make a play for power through force can command the narrative unopposed like that
When does it get better though? If we’re always tempering the appearance of marginalized people in leadership roles, i fear generations will keep growing up with a prejudice against it
From what it sounds like, the safety is in the device not the grid. In case you haven’t noticed, there is a far lesser sense of personal responsibility to those around you in the US than Europe and I don’t know that I’d trust that nobody over here would fudge some bypass to power their house in an outage
Lol there have been plenty of counter culture anti-authority comic books. A single panel of police in, what are probably, just stock poses the artist had reference already handy for surely can’t ruin an entire medium
This country’s democracy has been optimized to benefit a privileged few, the failure has been going on for longer than I’ve been around. We fight fascists for our lives, don’t let some nebulous country rock nonsense about democracy obscure that. It’s not the government that’s worth saving, it’s the people
I get that but it’s also a genre about social commentary and I think that is best when someone for whom the setting is their home can inject their perspective
Afraid to chase information just in case it makes you feel out of touch
