Well, early adopters of tech are always the techies, sure you know that. Lemmy has already come a alont way in usability since I started in mid June. As mobile.apps.progress rapidly and the backend stabilizes and adds features, I think it will only grow. I have seen some great discussions on here, without the vitrol you got on Reddit when. You were wrong. I had one yesterday or the day before when it was pointed out to my I had a misunderstanding of a political theory. It was actually a pleasant experience.

Keep up the casuals, and help this thing grow.

The main difference in them is the driving principal of your behavior. Communism says you should do what the state says is most beneficial for society. Socialism says you should do what you feelmis most beneficial. Granted it's extremely generalized and far more nuisanced than that, but overall, it's not wrong.

Star Trek is socialism not communism. Minor differences but different. You choose your fate, not the system.

lemmynsfw.com will definitely show communities if not logged in, and you can see everything if you open one. pornlemmy.com shows everything if not logged in. Both of these are from a web browser, and in my experience if I click on a communty from my feed in either connect or liftoff. and if you hit settings and on each instance, by default they are set to filter stuff for not logged in, you can turn that off, even if you're not logged in.
