  • Yup. I'm in a similar situation. I work from home and vape in my office. I do it non-stop... I lowered the nic concentration as much as possible, but still, it's a lot. It's too convenient. Better than cigarettes though.

  • I read somewhere that certain places have a very large amount of people with lactose intolerance, like north America. I used to drink raw milk, straight from the bucket my grandma used to milk the cow. Never had any issues. Grew up on a farm in Romania in the 80s.

    • 5€/month for unlimited voice, text, net (romania) - I don't use this, since i moved away, but i've had this number since '99...
    • 35€/month for 25gb net, unlimited voice, text (germany) - it's a bit more expensive since it includes a phone as well (i got the pixel 8 when it came out).
    • 15-20€/month for 5-15gb and unlimited voice/text for my kids, also with phones (pixel 6a)
    • 45€/month for home Internet - 1000 down / 200 up (cable), unlimited + landline (which is not connected/in use.
  • I don't live so far north, but good, light, waterproof boots. Of course, everything else people recommended already - good gloves, socks, jacket, and layers. But for me personally, boots would be the most important.

  • My ADHD kids are not aggressive, on the contrary. And each one of them behaves and reacts differently, especially without/after medication.

I'll try my best to give some answers.

    1. Lack of focus, getting lost in thoughts, or hyper focusing on the wrong thing at the wrong time - my kids get up at 6:15am to catch the 7:25am to go to school, and somehow that's still not enough time... Also, taking 4h to do homework that otherwise would take 30m.
    2. Like I mentioned, my kids are not aggressive or hyperactive, they are on the other side of the scale - while my boy has a large group of friends, my middle daughter has none (she is also diagnosed with ASD), and it's really difficult for her to fit in. My little daughter does have a bit of an extroverted personality, and she really tries to fit in and grab the attention of people, but most kids push back. She fits right in with the adults though, becoming fast friends with our (the adults) group of friends.
    3. Nothing in regards to aggression, but my son and middle daughter go to therapy, my middle daughter also goes to group therapy (for kids with ASD). Also, they all take Ritalin in the morning, and that helped quite a bit, especially at school, but it was not a "fix", just a helper.
    4. It can be overwhelming at times - mood swings, overreacting to the smallest issue, crying for hours for not finishing the test in time, or forgetting the school account password... We have many talks, trying to reassure them as best as I can.
    5. We did a lot of reading, from online articles to books about ADHD, talking to a couple psychiatrists, but probably the best resource was my wife's own ADHD diagnosis. She did a lot of research!

  • We use digital ocean for a pre-production k8s environment, as well as other stuff, no complaints. Terraform works great with it. My only issue is that the worker nodes IPs change during/after an update, so we have to update our firewalls a few times, while the update is running, and after it's over.

  • It's uncomfortable for me too. I asked HR to keep mine private at work, but before this I would just react with a like to the wishes and write a short thatnk you all at the end of the day... The late wishes I would just ignore...

  • Apartment in a country house, 3 bedrooms, one living/dining area, kitchen, full bathroom, small restroom, cellar/pantry, small garage (which can't fit our current car), one parking place, decent size terrace and backyard. Two of my kids share one of the bedrooms.

We are thinking of moving to the city, as the kids are getting ready to start uni, and we are looking at 4-6 bedrooms, so every kid has their own room, and maybe even have one or two dedicated offices, since we work from home. We currently have desks in our bedroom and the livingroom. And hopefully more than 2 toilets, since it's a struggle every morning :)
